Ricou (Rick) Hartman

Rick Hartman is a licensed Broker in the State of Florida with eight years of real estate sales experience. Rick sells all three types of property which are the foundation of Hartman Real Estate, but he is a specialist in the sale of land tracts, particularly agricultural land. Rick is knowledgeable about production agriculture, ranch land, beef cattle operations, negotiating with local and regional agencies and setting up conservation easements.

Rick graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics. He was an active member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and the Block and Bridle Chapter. While in college, Rick managed a cattle ranch outside of Gainesville which had 1,000 head of cattle.

Rick’s professional career includes 25 years in livestock feed sales for Central Soya and Purina in which he assisted in helping producers obtain financing for building, operating and managing large livestock operations. During this time, he served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Pork Producers.

Rick continues his active participation in agriculture as a joint owner of a cattle ranching operation. He is also an active member of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association and serves on the Private Lands and Environmental Committee of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association.

Rick is active in community affairs, having served on the board of the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the board of the Martin County Taxpayers’ Association, the Government Affairs committee of the Realtors Association of Martin County, the board for the Rivers Coalition, and the Community Board for Seacoast National Bank.

Rick is committed to conservation, particularly to the maintenance of Florida lands and the quality of water in Florida. He has actively assisted in placing over 5,500 acres in conservation and currently participates in the Northern Everglades Payment for Environmental Services Program (NEPES), a joint effort of the South Florida Water Management District and the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) designed to engage private landowners in a cooperative effort to improve water quality in the Northern Everglades.

Peter Hartman is a Broker Associate with 33 years of experience in real estate sales. Peter sells all types of property that are the foundation of Hartman Real Estate, but he specializes in industrial and commercial property sales. Peter is knowledgeable about assessing the value of industrial and commercial property by examining such factors as the income it produces, its location, and its potential return on investment. His recent efforts have included the negotiations for the purchase of a nursing home facility.

Peter holds the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation and has completed the course work for the CCIM designation, which focuses on the investment and financial analysis of real estate sales.

Peter graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Agricultural Economics. He was an active member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and served as Noble Ruler.

Peter’s real estate career began in his father, Ralph Hartman’s, real estate office. Peter owned his own real estate office for a period of time, but stepped out of the ownership role and became an agent for various real estate brokerage firms in the Stuart, Florida area. Peter and Rick Hartman joined forces in 2005 to re-open the business his father founded.

Annette is the newest member of the Hartman Family to work in the Real Estate Business.

She resides in Okeechobee and works mostly in Okeechobee and surrounding areas. She sells all types of properties and also specializes in Property Management, handling all aspects of a property for the owner.

She is a member of the Florida and Okeechobee County Cattlewomen. Her family lives on a large ranch in Okeechobee and are heavily involved in the Agriculture Industry.

Ransom Reed Hartman

As a fifth generation Martin County resident and third generation real estate agent with over a decade in residential and commercial experience, Ransom Reed Hartman has deep roots in Florida’s real estate heritage.  Following his grandfather Ralph Hartman, Jr. and his father Ricou Hartman into the business, Reed continues a legacy of serving the community in the real estate industry.

Reed is a licensed real estate sales professional and a licensed auctioneer in the state of Florida. He is a member of the National Auctioneer’s Association and the Florida Auctioneer’s Association, holding a designation as a Certified Estate Specialist from the National Auctioneer’s Association. Reed has additional expertise in building construction, having earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Illinois State University and is a licensed Certified Building Contractor with the State of Florida, giving him an even better perspective in the real estate field.

Reed is actively involved in the Treasure Coast community and donates his time and skills as an auctioneer to numerous non-profit organizations including Mary’s Shelter, Treasure Coast Hospice, Volunteers in Medicine Clinic and many others.  Reed also serves on the Board of the Martin County Farm Bureau as Vice-President and is a member of Martin County Leadership class 17, as well as Leadership Florida Class 30. He was appointed to the Florida State Board of Auctioneers with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation by Governor Scott; where he helps with the regulation of the state’s auction license law.
